Charles City’s Lilly Luft commits to Iowa Women’s Wrestling
The two-time state champion will be part of Iowa’s inaugural team in 2023.

(ABC 6 News) — In a major announcement on Thursday, Charles City’s Lilly Luft posted on social media her commitment to Iowa Women’s Wrestling.
Luft’s announcement is timely as the Hawkeyes became the first Power Five school to have women’s wrestling in September 2021 with the inaugural season in 2023. Luft is a two-time state champion and has a 41-3 total record. Per IAWrestle, Luft is the number one overall girls’ wrestler in the 130-lb weight class going into her senior campaign.
