(ABC 6 News) – Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison joins an anti-trust lawsuit against the NCAA over a transfer rule.

The rule requires college athletes transferring schools for a second time to wait one year before they can compete.

Last month, a judge blocked the NCAA enforcing the rule through the end of the current academic year.

Opponents argue the rule illegally restricts an athlete’s ability to sell their own image and likeness, a recent change in college athletics that now allows athletes to.
