Early snow followed by wind on Friday

There’s a disconnect to the strongest wind and snow on Friday. First we’ll see a pop of snow between 2 AM and 8 AM. Around 1″ of snow will fall.

Temperatures briefly warm to 30 after the snow ends but then plummet the rest of the day.

At the same time, the wind kicks up quickly from the northwest. Gusts from mid-morning into the evening reach the 30-35 mph range. With recent loose snow, some will blow around and drift too. Some of those impacts will be most felt in the rural and open areas. Some of the worst may feature some lowered visibility. Take things a bit easier on the travel scene throughout Friday.
