Shots fired, shell casings found in SE Rochester

(ABC 6 News) – Rochester police responded to reports of shots fired on 10th St. SE Saturday afternoon, May 21.
Around 4:08 p.m., a caller told officers they had heard gunshots. Several witnesses in the area confirmed the sound of “a gun, fireworks, or a car backfiring” at the same time.
Capt. Casey Moilanen with RPD said one individual reported seeing a subject driving westbound in the 1500 block of 10th St. SE, shooting a handgun out the window of the car.
Rochester police did not find any property damage or injured victims, but did locate eight 9mm shell casings on 10th St. SE.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
