Rochester man hurt in 3-vehicle crash Friday morning in Winona County

(ABC 6 News) – A Rochester man was one of several people hurt in a three-vehicle crash Friday morning in Winona County.

Crash reports from the Minnesota State Patrol said the crash happened on Highway 43 in Wilson Township just after 8:30 a.m.

The report said a tractor driven by a 75-year-old Winona man was heading north on Highway 43 when a Dodge Caravan driven by a 55-year-old Rochester man attempted to pass the tractor.

While trying to pass the tractor, the Dodge Caravan collided with a Chrysler 300 driven by a 34-year-old Winona woman that was heading south on the highway.

The Rochester man, two of his passengers and the driver of the Chrysler 300 received minor injuries in the crash and were all taken to the hospital.

The report indicates everyone was wearing a seatbelt.

Description:Peterbilt was NB on Hwy 43. Dodge was also NB on Hwy 43 attempting to pass the Peterbilt when it collided with the Chrysler which was SB on Hwy 43. Winona County Sheriff’s Department, Wilson Fire, Winona Fire, and Winona Area Ambulance assisted on scene.
