Mason City woman charged with shooting Albert Lea hotel enters guilty plea

(ABC 6 News) – A Mason City woman charged with firing a gun at a hotel in Albert Lea has entered a guilty plea.
31-year-old Jessica Ann Hutfles pleaded guilty in Freeborn County District Court to 2nd-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

Albert Lea Police said a man called just before 9 a.m. saying Hutfles had fired a bullet into his hotel room door at the Motel 6 and then ran away.
Hutfles was arrested a short distance from the hotel and police found the firearm believed to have been used in the shooting.
Sentencing for Hutfles is scheduled for March 24.
