Gunshots fired in NE Rochester early Wednesday morning

(ABC 6 News) — A man woke up just before 3:00 Wednesday morning to the sound of gunshots outside and found several bullet holes in his car.

It happened on the 400 block of 9 Ave NE in Rochester. When the 40-year-old man later went outside, he said one of the windows on his Honda Civic had been broken and there were multiple bullet holes in the car.

According to the Rochester Police Department, neighbors reported hearing a vehicle with a "loud exhaust" leaving the area right around that time.

Nobody was injured, and police found shell casings from a 9mm firearm around the car. The man said he has a person in mind who may have been responsible. Police are still investigating.
