(ABC 6 News) – Rochesterfest is underway and that includes multiple days of golf out at Hadley Creek for the Million Dollar Shoot Out.

On top of aiming to get your ball in the hole, you’re also aiming to get in a certain square. Those who get closest will be chosen as a finalist to shoot for the million-dollar prize Friday night.

"It’s not necessarily skill, it’s more luck to get in that square," said Stephen Rose, the on-site activity coordinator for the Million Dollar Shoot Out. "You don’t need to be really good at golf. We’ve got some young kids that are shooting and whatever. It’s just coming out and hitting some balls, and having some fun."

Kyle Moret has some golfing skills and wanted to have some fun on Father’s Day.

"It’s a fun game. After high school, I wasn’t playing sports or anything. So it was just something to fill the competitive urge a bit and push yourself," said Moret. "You’ll play better the more fun you have."
