(ABC 6 News) – The governor’s visit comes following the release of his budget proposal. A plan he says supports children and families and invests in the state’s economic future.

Wednesday, he shared that plan with Rochester business owners, and also listened to their concerns.

“And I think hearing from you of what makes your business work what are you most concerned about, how do you find employees, and keep them and what are things we can do to be good partners and make that happen,” Gov. Walz.

The governor says since he’s taken office small businesses in the state have grown by 40 percent. And 3 out of every 4 workers in Minnesota are part of small business network.

He says his budget supports that that’s the message he hopes came across.
