(ABC 6 News) – Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge has named Tom Truszinski as its next CEO.

Truszinski is a long-term leader at MnTC, and has worked as the center director of the organization’s Rochester campus for the past eight years.

Prior to joining MnTC, Truszinski served as an executive in a financial firm. In addition, he was outreach pastor for Cedar Valley church.

“Following a comprehensive selection process, our board unanimously selected Tom Truszinski to succeed Rich Scherber as our CEO,” says Eric Vagle, president of Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge. “Tom’s heart for helping those struggling with substance use disorder, his business expertise, and his experience leading our Rochester campus made him the perfect choice for CEO.”

Truszinski is committed to building on the foundation set by Pastor Rich Scherber, who has served as CEO of the organization for the past 30 years. Pastor Rich will remain involved with the organization, taking on roles that allow for greater flexibility and work-life balance.

The transition of roles will occur sometime in 2022.
