Pop up storms Tuesday afternoon.

Daily rain chances are ahead. And they will be welcomed. We haven’t seen measurable rain at RST since May 14th. Each day, activity will be isolated to scattered in nature meaning each rain chance will not encompass all locations. Of the days ahead, Wednesday and Friday look the most promising.

That said, Tuesday’s happens first so lets talk about it. A few stray showers are possible in the morning but we’ll wait for the afternoon. Activity will bubble up as temperatures reach the mid 80s. Isolated in nature, only a few lucky locations will see this activity.

Severe prospects are low as we lack the appropriate wind structure in the atmosphere. One thing we do have plenty of is fuel, so some brief strengthenings could yield some quick pops of hail. That would be the threat if a storm does go strong. It’s just unlikely.
