Alberta Clipper charges through Friday

From the predawn hours of Friday morning to mid-day, a band of snow is expected to push through. Generally light in intensity, it will amount to an inch or two of snow. It’s lacking in the amounts, but will make up for it with the wind and cold.

After a brief warmup in the morning, temperatures take a sharp plunge as the wind gusts from the northwest to 35 mph. There is the possibility of blowing/drifting snow. If gusts get much stronger, we’ll be talking about visibility impairments.

We’ll be monitoring the situation for a possible Alert Day.
