(ABC 6 News) — Junior outside hitter Kammry Broadwater may be soft-spoken but her game is loud on the volleyball court.

“When I’m in the game, I’m in the moment and I’m just trying to do whatever is best for my team.”

She’s always finding a way to impact the game and it’s helped the falcons to a 19-11 record, good for third in the Three Rivers Conference.

“It’s been good,” Broadwater continued. “I feel like we worked really hard on the offseason to come out on top on the in-season. I feel like our team chemistry is super well so that’s a big thing on our team.”

“A saying we have is underdogs are the hungry dogs so we just try and play for each other and try to come out on top.”

Broadwater raises her game when playing the best of southeast Minnesota, as noted in her efforts against Zumbrota-Mazeppa at home on September 29th.

“This year as a junior she’s kinda stepped up and became a leader,” Falcons Head Coach Travis Malley noted. “She’s 200 kills for us plus. She’s 200 digs in the back row. She plays six rotations and she stays in all the way around. She’s just became an all-around athlete.”

For all the good Broadwater has done this season, many believe she has yet to reach her full potential and capabilities. While Coach Malley bids adieu to his senior class, he’s glad he gets Broadwater back for another season.

“That’s very exciting,” Malley explained. “Just watching her grow from last year to this year. She had great growth so if she continues that and she’ll work hard in the offseason so I know she’ll come back better next year. It’s pretty exciting to have a senior like that next year.”
