Mayo’s Lucas Peterson commits to Bemidji State Football

(ABC 6 News) — Mayo’s Lucas Peterson will continue his football career up north in Beltrami County.
The Spartan wide receiver and wrestler announced on social media he is committed to Bemidji State Football.
Peterson is coming off a Spartans football season that saw Mayo reach the second round of the Class 6A State Tournament. Through seven games this past season, Peterson had 2 touchdowns and 332 receiving yards.
Peterson joins a Beavers team that had a handful of local stars in 2023 including former RCTC Yellowjacket De’vonta’ Roberts and Osage native Landon Arends.
Beavers Football went 9-3 in 2023, reaching the second round of the NCAA Division II Playoffs.
