Hayfield GBB staves off Fillmore Central’s upset bid in Section 1A quarterfinal, 54-46

(ABC 6 News) — The top-seeded Hayfield Vikings bested eighth-seed Fillmore Central Tuesday to advance to the Section 1A semifinals.
The Vikings’ Kristen Watson and Natalie Beaver combined for 38 points to avoid the would-be upset from the Falcons and will play #4 Lanesboro on Saturday, March 4. Fillmore Central’s Abby Bothun led her team with 15 points.
