Four Green Devils claim State wrestling titles as Osage wins the Class 2A Tournament

(ABC 6 News) — Green reigns supreme again for Osage Wrestling.

The Green Devils saw four of their grapplers win State gold at IHSAA Wrestling Championships on Saturday in Des Moines.

Blake Fox claimed the Class 2A 138-lb title, earning his second State championship in a row, defeating Mt. Vernon’s Jase Jaspers in a 3-1 decision.

Anders Kittleson put a bow on his perfect 45-0 season, by winning the 144-lb State title in a 4-0 shutout of Central DeWitt’s Royce Butt.

Former Prep of the Week Tucker Stangel record a second-straight perfect season (54-0) en route to a second-consecutive state title, winning the 157-lb championship match. Stangel’s match was a hard-fought one, edging out Sergeant Bluff-Luton’s Bo Koedam in a 2-1 decision.

South Dakota State commit Mac Muller rounded out the night with an 8-3 decision over Columbus/WMU’s Russel Coil to claim the 285-lb championship.
