Byron’s Sydney Portner grabs 2nd in the beam at the Class A Gymanstics Championships

Portner scored a 9.250 in the balance beam event.

(ABC 6 News) — Byron’s Sydney Portner continues a strong showing in the MSHSL State Gymnastics Meet by placing 2nd in the Class A Balance Beam event.

The seventh-grader had 9.250 score while going 9th in both the floor routine (9.3125) and the all-around (36.1625).

Portner also had the highest scores out of all her Byron teammates during the Class A Team Meet on Friday. Her highest finish that evening was a 9.375 on the floor.
