Previous Experience

Rachel Mantos joined the ABC 6 News Team in June 2023. Prior to that, she did an internship with WAVY TV in Portsmouth, VA on The Hampton Roads Show. She also wrote for her university’s newspaper publications, Her Campus and Mace and Crown, and was Copy Editor of Her Campus.

Education

Rachel is from Virginia Beach, and attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. She graduated in December 2022 with a Bachelor of Art in English with a concentration in Journalism. While there she was a member of Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority, which she was President of for one semester. She was also a Staff Writer and Copy Editor for her university’s chapter of the online magazine Her Campus.

Personal Interests

In her free time, Rachel enjoys writing, reading, and watching movies, as well as going to the beach and museums, or just out with friends. Rachel is new to the Rochester area and is excited to explore the city.
