Wells man on tractor killed in Faribault County crash
(ABC 6 News) – A Wells man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Faribault County on Tuesday.
The crash happened just before 7 p.m. on Highway 22 and 90th St, in Foster Township.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a tractor was in front of a Dodge Journey on Highway 22 when they collided just before 8 p.m. near 90th Street in Foster Township.
The tractor driver, 70-year-old Michael Phillip Wegner from Wells, died at the scene.
A 45-year old woman from Sebastopol, CA, and her two passengers in the Dodge Journey were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
were headed north on Highway 22 when they collided with a tractor driven by Michael Wegner, 70 of Wells, who was also heading north.
Wegner was killed in the crash. Bryan and her two teenaged passengers suffered what are described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Faribault County Sheriff’s office, Wells Police also responded to the scene.
It is unknown what caused the collision, and road conditions were listed as being dry at the time.
