Three people found shot to death in Minnesota township

CENTER CITY, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota authorities are investigating the deaths of three people after deputies found them shot to death in Fish Lake Township, about 45 miles north of Minneapolis.

The Chisago County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that officers went to a home around 8:00 a.m. Sunday after a family member reported not being able to reach people at the home.

When police arrived, deputies found three people dead, from apparent gunshot wounds.

The sheriff’s office said after a preliminary investigation indicates that the shootings were not a random incident.

At this time, authorities have not identified the victims or named any possible suspects.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has joined the investigation.

More information is expected to be released following further investigation and an autopsy by the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
