RPD officer finds woman slumped over in vehicle; arrested, charged after fentanyl pills discovered

(ABC 6 News) – Rochester Police said on Sunday night a woman was found slumped over in a vehicle and then arrested after an officer discovered several dozen fentanyl pills in her possession.

An officer with RPD was on a patrol around 9:13 p.m. and noticed a woman slumped over and unconscious in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle that was parked at the Days Inn in the 3500 block of Commercial Dr. SW in Rochester.

The officer approached the vehicle and allegedly noticed drugs and drug paraphernalia in the woman’s lap. The officer woke the woman to make sure she was okay, and in the process she allegedly tried to hide 88 M30 fentanyl pills in her sweatshirt.

The woman, 22-year-old McKenna Spiekermeier of West Fargo, North Dakota, was arrested and charged with 5th-degree possession of a controlled substance.
