Rochester woman charged with criminal sexual conduct, assault of man and police officer

(ABC 6 News) – A Rochester woman faces multiple charges in Olmsted County Court after allegedly cutting a man’s genitals and later hitting a police officer in the face.

Cristina Garza Hennessey, 50, was arrested at about 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4. The Rochester Police Department reported that a man in Northwest Rochester told them Hennessey, who was intoxicated at the time, had threatened to cut off his testicles and then lunged at him before leaving in her vehicle.

According to court documents, the responding officer noted that the man had a cut on his scrotum following the altercation.

Officers made contact with Hennessy, who allegedly resisted officers’ attempts to get her out of the vehicle, saying she wanted to go to prison.

According to court documents, when officers offered to take her to jail, she agreed and exited the vehicle, then allegedly rushed at a police officer and hit him in the face.

Officers claim Hennessey further resisted arrest.

She was taken to the Adult Detention Center and was released Monday, Nov. 7, after being charged with 4th-degree criminal sexual conduct–force or coercion, 4th-degree assaulting a peace officer, assault and obstruction of the legal process.

Hennessey is scheduled to appear again in court on Dec. 15.
