(ABC 6 News) – The time has come as seasonal parking is back in Rochester, and the rules are fairly simple.

On odd numbered days like November 1, park on the side of the street with odd numbered houses.

Then, on even numbered days like November 2, park on the side of the street with even numbered houses.

The rule is in effect from 2 a.m. to 3 p.m. no matter the weather.

“We understand that this is an additional ask for people that are already busy and juggling so much with their lives. The reason for this is to keep our roadway safe over the winter months so our streets don’t become narrow and cause headaches,” said Megan Moeller, Communications Coordinator with the City of Rochester.

“These rules are in effect from November 1 until April 1. Regardless of the weather,” Moeller said.

These rules do not apply to metered spaces, or to streets where parking is only allowed on one side.
