Rochester man receives probation, $1K fine after pleading guilty to child porn

(ABC 6 News) – A Rochester man was sentenced to five years of probation and $1,090 in fines and court fees Monday after pleading guilty to four of 10 charges of possessing child pornography.

The remaining charges were dismissed as part of Thomas Lee Meyer’s plea deal, filed in August of this year.

According to court documents, Meyer, 54, may not hold a position of authority over any children or make contact with individuals under age 18 unless approved by community corrections.

Meyer was charged with 10 counts of possessing child pornography in December of 2020, after Charter Communications notified RPD that an account Meyer used was associated with Child Sexual Abuse Materials (CSAM).
