Rochester Chamber of Commerce to hold Broadway Ave. N reconstruction information session Monday

(ABC 6 News) – The Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Broadway Ave. reconstruction project information session on Monday, October 17.

The session will be held with the City of Rochester and the Broadway Ave. design team at the Hyatt House, 110 Civic Center Dr. NW at 2:00 p.m.

The City of Rochester and the design team are interested in the thoughts of businesses along the corridor as they prepare plans for the next phase of reconstruction of Broadway Ave.

Phase 1 of this effort saw the reconstruction of Broadway Ave. from Civic Center Dr. to Silver Lake Bridge.
Phase 2 will see the reconstruction of Broadway Ave. from Silver Lake Bridge to Elton Hills Dr. NW.

Goals of the project:

• Dedicated facilities for bicycles and pedestrians
• Transform Broadway Ave. into a welcoming and vibrant corridor
• Upgraded transit facilities
• Improved traffic operation and safety
• Accessibility for all
• Increased access to recreational opportunities along the Zumbro River

The next phase of reconstruction is anticipated to begin in 2024.
