RFD responds to closet fire at Limb Lab

(ABC 6 News) – The Rochester Fire Department (RFD) responded to a closet fire at Limb Lab early Monday morning.

According to RFD, fire crews were dispatched to Limb Lab, 400 Broadway Ave. S in Rochester shortly after 8:00 a.m. Crews arrived and reported smoke in the building with an evacuation in progress.

RFD said crews located the fire and and extinguished it while other crews searched for victims and located the sprinkler system controls and shut if off. Fans were also set up to ventilate the structure.

The fire caused a small amount of damage to the contents of the closet and the first floor and basement sustained water damage.

There were no injuries.

RFD said there is no estimate on total cost of damages.

RFD was assisted at the scene by Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
