RAGBRAI announces 2023 bike route

(ABC 6 News) – RAGBRAI organizers on Saturday night announced this summers overnight stops and bike route across Iowa.

RAGBRAI, the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, will begin in Sioux City. Traveling from west to east, cyclists will stop overnight in Storm Lake, Carroll, Ames, Des Moines, Tama-Toledo, Coralville and then finish in Davenport.

The total distance is estimated at 500 miles. Exact details of the route will be announced at a later date.

This year’s ride is the 50th anniversary. The ride begins on July 22 and ends on July 29.

RAGBRAI is an annual eight-day bicycle ride across the state filled with bicycles, music, food, camaraderie, and community. It is the oldest, largest, and longest multi-day bicycle touring event in the world.
