OCSO reports non-fatal Rochester overdose

(ABC 6 News) – An Olmsted County deputy initially mistook a woman for a bag of trash Monday night, before pulling her from a snowbank and administering Narcan.

According to the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, the deputy was driving eastbound on 19th Street NW when he saw the woman face-down in a snowback.

The deputy pulled the woman out of the snowbank and found she was unresponsive and warm to the touch.

However, he could not find a pulse. The deputy reported that the woman’s pupils appeared dilated and he smelled alcohol on her.

According to the OCSO, the deputy administered Narcan and began CPR, after which the woman revived and told the deputy she had used heroin recently.

Mayo Clinic Ambulance arrived and transported the woman to St. Marys hospital, according to the OCSO.
