(ABC 6 News) – The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a theft from Podein’s Power Equipment in Stewartville, which culminated in the loss of a $26,000 Utility Terrain Vehicle.

According to Capt. James Schueller with the OCSO, surveillance video from the dealership indicates that between 6 and 6:45 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, a dark truck with at least two occupants pulled into the open lot, and a passenger got into a red and grey Polaris RZR Pro XP4 UTV, valued at about $26,199.

The person in the UTV drove it to the back of the lot, where it was loaded onto a trailer pulled by another vehicle — a light-colored SUV that looked like a Tahoe, Schueller said.

Both vehicles then drove away.

The incident is still under investigation.
