(ABC 6 News) – You’ve probably seen him on TV and now, you have a chance to see him in Iowa when James “Murr” Murray plays Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood, Iowa on Friday, October 21.

The “Impractical Jokers” star will play not one, but two shows on Friday.

“It’s like hanging out with your favorite “Impractical Joker” for a night. I tell stories from the TV show. Things that have happened to us, I talk about the TV show a lot, I explain how it works,” explained Murr.

“One of the cool segments of the show is I tell the audience ideas that we’ve pitched to the network that they’ve rejected for some reason or another.”

One of those ideas is “speak now, or forever hold your peace.” Murr describes the segment as someone going to a stranger’s wedding and when they say “speak now or forever hold your piece,” that person has to stand up, object to the wedding, go into detail as to why they object and then realize they’re at the wrong wedding.

This isn’t Murr’s first time in Iowa. The comedian has been to the Hawkeye state several times.

“So we began the Impractical Jokers tour in Iowa. We did Cedar Rapids, Cedar Falls, and then Sioux City, I think in the same weekend. And uh, whenever we come back to Iowa it’s like coming home. It really is. That’s really where it all began, the Impractical Jokers tour. One of the most embarrassing moments of my life happened. right there in Iowa the first day I met our tour manager in person.

“Because we arrived in Cedar Falls, we’re checking into the hotel and he pulls up to meet us but my stomach had been upset all day from the commute. And uh, right before he walked up to me, I leaned into the trunk of the car to get my luggage out…and I had an accident…”

Murr will share the full story on Friday night. He will play a show at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. For more information and tickets, you can click here.
