Motorcyclist in critical condition following NW Rochester crash

(ABC 6 News) – A motorcyclist is in critical condition following a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.

Rochester police say just after 4 p.m., a motorcycle and pickup collided at the intersection of Valleyhigh Dr. NW and Instrument Dr. NW.

Authorities said the pickup was turning off of Instrument Dr. NW to head north when the motorcycle and the pickup collided on Valleyhigh Dr.

The names and ages of the two involved in the crash have not been released. Rochester police did say both drivers are males from Rochester.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The driver of the pickup was not injured.

Valleyhigh Dr. NW was closed for a few hours after the crash while RPD’s forensic mapping unit investigated the crash.

Rochester Police, Rochester Fire, Minnesota State Patrol, and Mayo Ambulance all responded to the scene.
