Mestads Bridal and Formal Wear closing after 43 years

(ABC 6 News) – Mestads Bridal and Formal Wear in Rochester is closing its doors after 43 years Wednesday.

Cathy Mestad shared the news on social media saying:

“It has been amazing to serve Southeastern MN for over 43 years! As a locally woman-owned business, Mestads has helped to make life-long celebrations and memories for over two and a half generations through weddings, quinceañeras, formal dances, and galas. In addition, Mestads is proud to have contributed approximately 4 million dollars as part of our commitment to Southeastern MN schools and non-profits.”

The bridal shop said with the circumstances over the last three years, COVID being a main factor, and after exhausting all federal and state options, Mestads will be closing effective February 1, 2023.

The post continued to say Mestads is hopeful for an efficient and timely transition for new ownership to continue serving Southeastern MN.

The Mestads team thanked its customers for buying locally and in person.
