(ABC 6 News)- Autism Friendly Austin, a part of the Hormel Historic Home, is partnering with LIFE Mower County and MacPhail Center for Music to provide music therapy classes for children ages 2-7 with different abilities.

The “Little Learners Music” classes will use music therapy to help teach children important social skills, while also providing a supportive environment.

“We want those kids to be coming and interacting with each other, finding social time together, learning to follow directions and then have these parents meeting each other and building a supportive network together,” said Beth Tobak, the community autism resource specialist at Hormel Historic Home.

The group classes will be caregiver-child classes. The first begins on February 26.
