Hormel Foods dedicates “The Inspired People Plaza”

(ABC 6 News) – A new piece of artwork was unveiled at the Hormel Foods World Headquarters.

The one-ton, 25-foot fork sculpture created by award-winning sculpture Gordon Huether is made up of nearly 20,000 forks, each represented and donated by Hormel Foods team members worldwide.

Located on the front lawn, it serves as the anchor of the new outdoor plaza, “The Inspired People Plaza”. The name is a nod to the company’s purpose statement, Inspired People. Inspired Food. TM

“It’s a symbol for the epicenter of food innovation, but more than anything this sculpture is dedicated to our team,” said Hormel Foods President Jim Snee.

The project was inspired two years ago to find a symbol of the power of food and the company.

Now complete – it’s titled “Big Fork – Power of Food”.
