UPDATE: Harmony man killed in Fillmore County crash

UPDATE: 11/16 (6:56 a.m.) – The Minnesota State Patrol said Laurald Joseph Afseth, 63, of Harmony was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Fillmore County on Tuesday morning.

(ABC 6 News) – A Harmony man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Fillmore County on Tuesday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol (MSP), at approximately 8:59 a.m., a 2015 Ford F350 was traveling westbound on Hwy 52, and a 2005 Toyota Prius was traveling eastbound on Hwy 52 when they collided at Fillmore Co. Rd. 30 in Canton Township.

A 63-year-old male from Harmony, the driver of the Toyota Prius, was killed.

Mark John Hanson, 61, from New Richland, MN, was driving the Ford F350 and was not injured.

MSP says the road was covered in snow and ice at the time of the crash.

The victim’s name will be released at a later time, according to MSP.
