Grand Meadow man charged after hidden cameras found in bathroom

(ABC 6 News) – A Grand Meadow man has been charged in Mower County court after investigators found hidden cameras in a bathroom in his home, according to court documents filed Friday.

Nicholas Adam Sneed, 45, was charged with three counts of interfering with privacy.

According to a criminal complaint, investigators with the Mower County Sheriff’s officer received a tip from the group Internet Crimes Against Children that child pornography had been uploaded to an internet storage service from Sneed’s residence.

Court documents show deputies executed a search warrant at his home on Tuesday, and found numerous electronic devices and data storage devices, and several videos produced at that residence using a hidden camera in a bathroom.

Law enforcement spoke with three victims who appeared in the videos. All three said they were not aware of the camera, and two became emotional upon learning about it, according to the complaint.

Court documents state the victims could be seen nude in up to 20 different videos.

A second search warrant at the home yielded additional digital storage devices, along with two hidden cameras. All devices seized during the searches are being examined for child sexual abuse material, according to the complaint.

Sneed is expected back in Mower County court Jan. 9, 2023.
