Gophers football to play Alabama in 2032, 2033

(ABC 6 News) – The University of Minnesota football team announced they will play a home-and-home series versus Alabama – just not this decade.

The Gophers will host the Alabama Crimson Tide in Minneapolis on September 18, 2032 and will play at Tuscaloosa, AL on September 17, 2033.

Minnesota has played Alabama just one time in the school’s history – defeating the Crimson Tide 20-16 in the 2004 Music City Bowl in Nashville, TN.

Meanwhile, the Gophers most recent game against an SEC opponent was the 2020 Outback Bowl, where Minnesota beat Auburn 31-24 in Tampa, FLA.
