(ABC 6 News) – A Rochester art gallery has a new exhibit this month called ‘Celebrate and Restore’.

Gallery 24 is a community art collective with members at all skill levels. They display community work in new exhibits each month, and tonight’s theme is something i think we can all use a little more of.

The exhibit is called ‘Celebrate and Restore’, and the Rochester community decided to portray a range of things and activities like garden vegetables, beautiful views, and activities like parties and frisbee golf.

Organizer Kay Fox said she was inspired by nature in her works tonight. But the sky was the limit for these submissions.

“It’s basically about what inspires you. What brings you peace. What brings you joy. So it really is sort of an open exhibit,” Organizer Kay Fox said.

Many of the artists were in attendance on Friday evening to share their work with the community.

“Whatever I saw as a flower I just tried to bring it out with the paint marker and I just wanted a bright thing to be symbolic of spring,” said Sarah Hoppe.

The exhibit will be up at Gallery 24 for the rest of March before moving to 125 Live. The exhibit is open to the public.
