Crash Monday morning in rural Dodge County

(ABC 6 News) – On Monday just before 11 a.m., a crash took place at the intersection of Highway 56 and 750th Street between Hayfield and Waltham in Dodge County.

The crash involved a Chevy Traverse and a semi-truck.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the semi was travelling north on Highway 56 and the Traverse was traveling on 750 street when it t-boned the semi.

The 61-year-old driver of the semi-truck, Donald Fenske of Saint Charles, Minn., was transported to St. Marys in Rochester with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 77-year-old driver of the Traverse, Michael Scovill of Rochester, sustained life-threatening injuries, and was taken to the St. Marys by helicopter.

Roads in the area were closed for more than three hours while crews responded to, and cleaned up, that crash scene.
