(ABC 6 News) – Weather conditions in Mason City improved Thursday after the winter storm rolled through Wednesday.

Iowa DOT’s hard work has paid off as most of the roads in Mason City have been cleared of snow.

Residents have already started to take notice.

“I think it’s a lot better today than what it was yesterday, I know I had to move some snow on our acreage before I came in, so I didn’t come in until about 9 o’clock, and by that time everything was cleared off,” said Ryan Smith.

Officials say you should still be cautious when you’re driving as there may still be some slick spots on the road.
