Celebrity chef visits AHS, honors Food and Nutrition employees

(ABC 6 News) – Wednesday, students and faculty at Austin High school were treated to a surprise event, featuring a very special guest.
In partnership with Hormel Foods, Celebrity Chef Carla Hall stopped by to spotlight the important role schools play in providing a food secure environment. She met with the cafeteria staff, taught students how to make her world-famous biscuits, hung out with the students during lunches, and helped serve a special meal to the cafeteria staff.
In addition to the school visits, Hormel Foods provided a special donation to both schools to purchase some of their wish-list items in their foodservice programs
