Austin man accused of sexually assaulting juvenile, trial scheduled

(ABC 6 News) – An Austin man will stand trial in July on a charge of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old child earlier this year.
Hpa Bla, 61, faces one charge of 2nd-degree criminal sexual conduct.
According to Mower County Court records, Bla was arrested in mid-February after a Mower County child protection worker informed law enforcement that the child had accused Bla of touching her inappropriately on numerous occasions.
His trial is scheduled for July 31, 2023.
