Albert Lea man injured in truck, combine collision

(ABC 6 News) – An Albert Lea man was taken to a local hospital after suffering non-life threatening injuries in a collision that involved a pickup truck and combine on Monday evening.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol (MSP), at approximately 5:24 p.m., a 2015 Chevy Colorado pickup truck and 2009 Case combine were both traveling northbound on Hwy 65 when they made contact near Trail Road 517 in Freeborn County.

John Bolinger, 72, from Albert Lea and the driver of the Chevy, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.

Aaron Nasinec, 24, of Wells, MN was the driver of the combine. He was not hurt.

The MSP says both men were wearing seatbelts and that alcohol was involved with Bolinger in the crash.

The MSP was assisted at the scene by Glenville Fire, Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office and Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.
