Rochester Polar Plunge raises over $280,000

People in Rochester plunged into frigid water to support Special Olympics Minnesota at the 2024 Polar Plunge.

(ABC 6 News) – People in Rochester plunged into frigid water to support Special Olympics Minnesota at the 2024 Polar Plunge.

958 plungers showed up to Foster Arend Park Saturday to support the cause.

A total of $281,395 was raised out of the $290,000 goal.

Olmsted County Sheriff Kevin Torgerson and Freeborn County Sheriff Ryan Shea showed their support by jumping into the lake while in uniform.

The Rochester Plunge has raised over $3,936,776 in it’s 22-year history.
