It was a night to focus on the positives for businesses in the Rochester community as the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce had their annual celebration.

“We’re gonna take an opportunity to celebrate all the positive things that are happening in the Rochester business community, and there’s a lot of great stories to tell,” Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce President Ryan Parsons said.

The Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed all businesses to this large networking event to celebrate the growth of the business community.

“Being from the history center, we’re out on the edge of town we don’t get a lot of opportunities to come downtown and meet other businesses,” communications coordinator at the History Center of Olmsted County Caleb Baumgartner said.

Tonight, showed the resilience these businesses had.

Despite the pandemic and inflation, they stayed strong.

“It’s good to hear from other businesses, other nonprofits, how they are managing that and also to let local officials know that nonprofits also need support as well,” Executive Director of the History Center of Olmsted County Wayne Gannaway said.

The businesses were treated to dinner and a performance from fun pianos.

Even though the nights were full of cheers, they’re looking forward to what’s in store in the future.

“There will be challenges but there’s also a lot of optimism for businesses moving forward in 2023, I think we have some outstanding entrepreneur community here and I think that’s really going to push us forward,” Parsons said.

Despite the challenges many businesses faced in 2022, Parsons said that he has faith in the business community and an event like this will only make it stronger.
