RFD to hold public vigil honoring firefighter killed in Burnsville

(ABC 6 News) – On Tuesday, Feb. 27, the Rochester Fire Department will hold a public vigil for Rochester-native, Burnsville firefighter and paramedic Adam Finseth at Soldiers Field Memorial Park.

Finseth was killed in the line of duty during a domestic violence call in Burnsville.

Two police officers, Paul Elmstrand and Matthew Ruge also died in the altercation.

The vigil honoring Finseth will include a tribute from the RFD Honor Guard, a bell ceremony and speeches from local officials, firefighters and friends of the Finseth family.

The vigil begins at 6:30 p.m.
