(ABC 6 News) – GOP Whip Tom Emmer of Minnesota says his home was targeted in a swatting attack over the weekend.
He posted on social media that a fake 911 call wrongly diverted police to his home on Saturday night.
He said what happened is allegedly part of a larger effort targeting elected officials.
The congress man lives in Delano.
No one was home at the time and no one was hurt in the incident.
Emmer condemned swatting attacks as “an illegal abuse of police resource.”
