(ABC 6 News) – Several laws made their way into Iowa’s capitol this week. Here’s a brief refresher on some of those.
HF 2413 would strip police officers of their law enforcement certification if an officer has plead guilty or has been convicted of two or more DWIs
But that would only happen if the second conviction takes place after July 2024
HF 2368 proposes creating a Department of Education fund that would provide free breakfast and lunches at qualifying schools in the state.
As of now, it has been referred to the education committee for debate.
Lastly, HF 2240 would expand the definition of “revenge porn” to include deep fakes, in reference to altered images released without a person’s consent that shows them undressed or having sex.
