Mysterious liquid found in Minnesota Capitol

(KSTP) – On Jan. 26, 2024 just before 6:30 p.m. Minnesota State Patrol Troopers were made aware of a suspicious item in a first floor bathroom in the State Capitol building.

According to State Patrol, mason jars filled with an unidentified substance were discovered.

St. Paul Fire Department was called for precautionary measures.

St. Paul Fire monitored the area and no active leak or threats were found around the suspicious items.

The all clear was given by St. Paul Fire. The items were then disposed of per protocol.

The Capitol building was closed at the time and no one was reported to be inside.
