Rochester, St. Charles men involved in Hayfield-area injury crash

(ABC 6 News) – First responders are at the scene of a crash on Highway 56 and 750th Street south of Hayfield, which took place just before 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29.
Around 12:32 p.m., the Minnesota State Patrol reported that a 77-year-old Rochester man in a Chevy Traverse and a 61-year-old St. Charles man in a freightliner tractor — considered a semi in the report — collided at the intersection.
According to an officer on scene, the Rochester man in the traverse was transported by Mayo One helicopter from the scene of the crash.
The identities and injury information will be released Monday night, according to the MSP.
ABC 6 News reporter Spencer Furman says roads have been blocked off 2-3 miles from the crash site.
